Introducing the new kitchen showroom for Thermador luxury appliances, located inside the Ferguson Showroom outside of Cleveland. At Reflections, our team’s designed commercial projects, and of course residential, but in our 20+ years as interior designers, this was our very first showroom design (besides our own studio). It was an honor to be a part of this special project, as it is the first ALL Thermador Showroom in the country.
Designing Our First Showroom
It was a fun challenge to think of a kitchen space in this new way. We wanted to create a space that could inspire people’s own home designs, while serving the unique needs that come with a showroom space. Our main design challenges were twofold: First, to design something welcoming and current that would draw in Ferguson Showroom visitors. Second, to incorporate ALL of the variety of appliances that need showcased, without it looking like a simple lineup of products. We wanted it to feel more like a true kitchen than a showroom, while still functioning as a space to explore all the different appliance options. Here’s a look at the final space! What do you think – would you want to walk through this kitchen?
A Kitchen to Draw People In
When thinking about creating a space that would feel inviting, we knew color and texture would be key. The large center island is an earthy red/brown tone that feels warm and welcoming. To play off this color, we added a brick feature on one corner wall that gave the space immediate texture and character.
This brick pairs beautifully with the tile backsplash, which is in the same red/brown family as the island and brick. All of these warm tones create a perfect balance with the other black cabinetry, white marble countertops, and luxury stainless steel appliances.
See it For Yourself
We loved this opportunity to work with our friends at Ferguson and Thermador on this design. If you’re local to the Cleveland area, you can now walk through our “kitchen”! Stop by and see all the beautiful details yourself in person. If you do see it – let us know! We’d love to hear what you think.
