Step inside our Chic & Colorful project, located in Chagrin Falls. This home has been an evolving project over the past few years, with our latest design phase focused on renovating the kitchen, mudroom, and pantry, along with refreshing the living and dining spaces. From the beginning, the goal was simple: create a home that feels warm, welcoming, and full of personality.
For this design, we leaned into a sense of playfulness. Walking through the home, you’ll discover layers of color, pattern, and texture throughout. From wallpapered ceilings to colorful custom cabinetry, each space has a distinct personality while still feeling connected to the whole home.
As always, our designs are not just about style, but function too. We carefully consider how homes are used day-to-day. On this project, our clients are proud grandparents, so it was important to create a dedicated space for the grandchildren. We did this by transforming a hallway closet into a walk-in toy chest. We love thinking that this personalized detail of “Gigi’s house” will live on this kid’s memories for their lifetime.
Another moment of style meets function is found in the living room area. We added a pair of upholstered stools to the console table so that it can double as a coloring or activity space for the grandkids to gather while the adults are in the kitchen.
Moving into the dining room, you’ll find a stocked home bar featuring a bold tile backsplash. It’s a great example to show that even the smallest spaces can have a lot of impact. Colorful patterns dance throughout this entire home, found in wallpapers and tile backsplashes, to floral curtains and upholstery.
