Modest Charm

Some of our favorite designs arise from the need to create highly functional and practical homes that are also beautiful and evoke joy for our clients. That is just what this growing family was looking for when they came to us to renovate and refresh their Shaker Heights home. With two little kids, they needed durable finishes and design layouts and solutions that were practical. However, they still wanted the space to feel beautiful, welcoming, and peaceful for themselves and their guests. The scope of the project encompassed nearly every room in the house, allowing us to select palettes, finishes, and patterns that made each space feel unique while still maintaining cohesion throughout the home. Walking through the house, you get a sense of balance and harmony as you go into each new room. Some of our favorite features include the cozy new den, painted in a serene blue and furnished with jewel-toned custom pieces, as well as the custom cabinetry installed throughout the home. This cabinetry not only enhanced the tailored feel of each room but also provided ample functional storage for the family.
